Usual pliers from the Raku firing technic are used to grab the molten glazed ceramic out of the kiln. Although they leave inevitable marks which are parts of the process, they have been designed in order to make them as discreet as possible.
These pliers are the results of an encounter with a blacksmith. They embrace the forge process and aesthetic heritage while trying to find solutions to adapt to contemporary forms of language and fictional uses. By being dysfunctional, they intend to reveal the marks left when altering the glaze.
